Our Philosophy

At Hampton Kids, we believe each child is unique and that is why our hands-on curriculum and individualized learning environment is designed to foster independent growth and development, allowing each child to grow and learn successfully at their own pace. Our Little Learners preschool and Pre-K Pros pre-kindergarten programs are specifically designed to meet the developmental needs of children, two through five years of age. Focusing on developing social skills and emerging concepts, our programs are designed so your child is given the opportunity to explore their world through large and small group experiences while learning an appreciation of their world and others around them. With a gentle, helping hand from our experienced teachers and staff, your child will be guided through meaningful play that is structured to prepare them academically, as well as socially and emotionally, in all areas of development for successful school readiness.

Our classrooms are divided into Learning Centers, which provide your child with multiple opportunities to learn through play while encouraging them to think and talk about their discoveries and creations. Through the Block CenterBlock play provides children with opportunities to create, cooperate and communicate while teaching mathematical concepts such as size, shapes, numbes and quantity. Social learning takes place in the Block Center as children work together to share space and ideas all while developing the necessary skills that will help them succeed in future learning experiences., Dramatic Play CenterThrough Dramatic Play children learn about various roles we play in society while developing necessary communication and social skills. When sharing ideas, creating new settings and communicating with each other, children strengthen their vocabulary and reading skills through pretend play while using their broad imagination! , Manipulative CenterChildren develop eye-hand coordination and small muscles in their little fingers when they practice using manipulation materials. Through the use of puzzles, string beads, matching games and making patterns your child will learn to recognize shapes, sizes, colors, numbers, object likeness and differences, counting, and sequencing and ordering., Art CenterThe Art Center is an ideal place for your child to express themselves and explore various artistic materials. Using our Art Center your child will learn to draw, paint, sculpt, think creatively, make decisions and solve problems. And while your little Picasso is creating their next masterpiece they are also developing fine motor skills that come from using brushes, crayons, scissors and clay. All of the activities in our Art Center were designed to help develop writing basics and to encourage language and creativity., Reading CenterOur goal at our Reading Center is to instill a love of literature into your child through a variety of books. We will show your child how to write and illustrate their own books which will help increase their awareness of the written word. Our Reading Center is a place where children can escape from the noise of our vibrant classrooms, to rest or have some “alone time”, in a quiet and comfy atmosphere., Writing CenterWriting is an important part of literacy development and our Writing Center is a place where your child will have multiple opportunities to develop writing skills. Though children of this age are not yet ready to enter a formal writing program, your child will benefit from a variety of experiences that emphasize the importance of letters, signs and symbols. Your child will be able to write letters to family and friends or simply explore the Writing Center through the use of chalk boards, and colorful paper, crayons, pencils and markers. and the use of our outdoor facilities, your child will gain new experiences that create a love of learning and exploration while strengthening important concepts while incorporating art, music, literature, math, science, and dramatic play. Our tried and true activities promote cognitive thinking, coordination, language and listening, creativity, shapes, letters, numbers and color recognition which helps them to benefit intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically, all while having the time of their life!
